White Label SEO & Marketing Support for Agencies
SEO, PPC, Content & AI Search Expertise for Marketing, Design & Web Agencies
I’m Scott Boyd, founder of SGB Marketing Ltd and an Edinburgh-based freelance digital marketing consultant with search marketing experience dating to 2002. I provide white-label SEO, Google Ads, content and AI search visibility support to marketing, design, branding and web development agencies across Scotland and the UK.
I can deliver individual projects behind the scenes, provide additional capacity for your team, support client meetings and pitches, or act as an embedded or interim Digital Marketing Manager.
White Label SEO and Digital Marketing Services for Agencies
Not every agency needs to build a permanent in-house team for every digital marketing discipline. You may need specialist expertise for a particular client, additional capacity during a busy period or someone experienced enough to take ownership when a team member leaves or is unavailable.
I have worked with agencies throughout my career, providing freelance and white-label SEO, PPC, content, reporting and project management support. Engagements can range from a single technical review or content plan to ongoing responsibility for multiple client campaigns.
Agencies commonly bring me in when they need to:
- Add SEO, PPC or content services without immediately recruiting.
- Increase capacity without compromising the quality of client work.
- Fill a temporary or longer-term gap in their marketing team.
- Investigate a difficult search, website or campaign problem.
- Review a website before launch or support a migration.
- Provide clients with specialist search and AI visibility expertise.
- Strengthen reports, proposals, pitches or client communications.
- Coordinate work involving internal teams, developers and other suppliers.
An example of a long-term agency relationship
I worked for 5 years with a design agency on a freelance basis of 3 days per week as Digital Marketing Manager.
My duties were varied, but as a consequence of my experience, I was able to hit the ground running.
The agency had a handful of long term clients they had produced websites for, who had asked them to help with digital marketing and they contacted me when their full time Digital Marketing Manager left the company.
My role within the company included:
- Project management of all client campaigns
- Technical SEO audits, research and planning
- Creation and management of PPC campaigns
- Compiling monthly reports for clients
- Regular catch-up meetings with clients
- Interviewing and eventually training apprentices
- Pitching for new clients
While this arrangement did use up more of my time than would be usual for a freelance client, it does serve as a good example of the flexibility of my service and breadth of my skills.
For other agencies, I have carried out various one-off pieces of work for single clients or in some cases, multiple clients.
If you feel your agency could use specialist digital marketing support but aren’t looking at filling a full time position, then we should have a chat about how I can help.
Freelance and White-Label Digital Marketing Services
I offer a very flexible service for digital agencies – so get in touch to chat about what you need. Whether it’s a simple health check of a new website about to go live, or to resolve any major search problems that come up, I can help.
White Label SEO Services
I provide white-label SEO services for agencies that need research, strategy, implementation guidance or ongoing campaign support. This can include keyword and search-intent research, technical SEO audits, content optimisation, internal linking, local SEO, ecommerce SEO, website migration reviews and reporting. The work can be delivered as an agency-branded audit or strategy, used to brief your internal team or developers, or incorporated into a wider client campaign.
PPC and Google Ads
I can set up, review and manage Google Ads campaigns for your clients, including Search, Shopping and Performance Max activity. Support can range from an independent account review to ongoing management, landing-page recommendations, reporting and coordination with the client’s wider marketing activity.
Content Strategy and Creation
I plan, brief, create and optimise content for commercial landing pages, services, products, ecommerce categories and supporting resources. My approach combines search research with commercial judgement, helping agencies target useful customer demand rather than producing content solely to attract traffic.
Website Launch and Migration Support
Website redesigns and migrations can unintentionally disrupt valuable search visibility. I can review plans before launch, identify SEO risks, check redirects and content changes, and work with your designers or developers to protect important search assets.
Client Meetings, Pitches and Training
Planning for the long term is critical and new content is the best approach to increase your client's traffic and sales month on month. We will create a content plan to suit your client's business and I can assist with creating new content as required.
AI Search Visibility
I can help agencies assess and improve how their clients are represented in conventional and AI-assisted search. This can include reviewing entity relationships, service and sector coverage, supporting evidence, content gaps and the consistency of information across a website. Recommendations and content can be supplied as white-label deliverables, with research, factual claims and final outputs subject to human review.
Digital Marketing Management
Where an agency needs wider ownership, I can help plan client activity, coordinate different workstreams, manage reporting and keep delivery moving. This is particularly useful when search, content, paid advertising, website development and client communication need to work together.
What Your Agency Gets From Working With Me
My technical and strategic skills are reflected in my experience, but at the core I view myself as a valuable marketing resource for agencies to tap into. My service is wholly flexible and adapts to the needs of any specific client – it’s my job to fit into what your client needs.
Senior diagnostic judgement
I do not automatically inherit the first explanation of a problem. I review the available evidence, consider competing causes and identify the part of the marketing or website system most likely to be limiting progress.
Commercially focused recommendations
Traffic and rankings are only useful when they support the client’s objectives. I focus research, campaigns and content on relevant enquiries, bookings, sales and other commercially meaningful outcomes.
Excellent digital support
Whether you simply have a few questions about digital marketing, or you want staff members coached or trained on specific areas, I can help out.
Flexible integration
I can work independently, become part of an established team or take responsibility for a defined campaign or workstream. We agree the scope, communication process and division of responsibilities before work begins.

Frequently asked questions
What types of agencies do you support?
I work with marketing, design, branding, digital and web development agencies that need additional search and digital marketing expertise.
Some agencies want to add SEO, PPC or content services without recruiting an internal specialist. Others already have a marketing team but need senior support for a particular client, project or period of high demand.
I am based in Edinburgh and work primarily remotely with agencies across Scotland and the wider UK.
What digital marketing services can agencies outsource to you?
Agencies can outsource SEO research, technical audits, content strategy, content creation, Google Ads management, analytics, reporting, website launch reviews, migration support and AI search visibility work.
I can deliver one part of a larger campaign or take responsibility for the complete search marketing workstream. The scope is agreed according to your internal capabilities, the client’s requirements and how you want the work presented.
Can you provide work under our agency’s brand?
Yes. Research, audits, strategies, content plans, reports and recommendations can be prepared as white-label deliverables for your agency to brand and present.
We can also agree how communication should be handled. I can work entirely behind the scenes, brief your team before meetings or participate in client discussions where additional specialist input would be useful.
Can you work directly with our clients?
Yes, where that is the preferred arrangement. I have extensive experience attending client meetings, presenting findings, discussing performance and explaining technical recommendations in accessible language.
Before work begins, we can agree how my role should be introduced, which communications I will handle and where decisions or deliverables require agency approval.
Can you provide both one-off and ongoing agency support?
Yes. One-off projects can include technical SEO audits, website launch reviews, ranking-loss investigations, Google Ads setups, content plans and AI search visibility assessments.
Ongoing support can cover retained campaign management, regular reporting, content planning, client meetings or additional capacity for your existing team. The arrangement can be adjusted as your workload and client requirements change.
Can you act as an interim or embedded Digital Marketing Manager?
Yes, subject to the time and capacity required. I have previously worked with an agency for five years, providing three days of support per week as its freelance Digital Marketing Manager.
An embedded role can include campaign planning, project management, client communication, reporting, coordination with team members and suppliers, staff support and contributions to new-business pitches.
Can you make changes directly to client websites?
Usually, depending on the platform and the type of change required. I can make content, optimisation and other marketing-related updates within platforms such as WordPress, WooCommerce and Shopify.
I am not a web developer or designer, so larger technical or design changes should normally be handled by the appropriate specialist. I can identify requirements, brief developers and check that search and marketing recommendations have been implemented correctly.
